I was getting ready to watch football yesterday when on the local Fox 5 they ran a commercial that had Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates. I don't get it. The commercial seemed to run forever, yet is only clocked at one and a half minutes.
Gates is obviously not good at projecting himself. He was very bland to the point of boring. Jerry was well Jerry Seinfeld. Making jokes out of nothing. Unfortunately, I didn't find them humorous. See for yourself.

Someone at work showed me this commercial and the best I can come up with is that using Vista can be compared to trying on a new pair of shoes that you have to break in: at first you might not like it but after a while it grows on you. Is it an effective commerical? I can't say that it is.
The problem is that it wasn't effective. Microsoft is running a better commercial that addresses the benefits of Vista. I forget the name, but they were inviting people to try the "New Windows X" or whatever. Then the reveal that it was actually Vista. Reminds me of the old coffee commercials from the 80's "You've been drinking Sanka all night"
